Full Pre-Installation Survey: Ensuring Suitability And Optimal Performance

Before we begin, we’ll always conduct a full survey to assess your home’s suitability for EPS cavity wall insulation. This includes:

• Cavity Check: We’ll drill small access holes in various sections of the wall and use a camera to check for damp, existing insulation, and any blockages.
• Void Depth Measurement: Accurately measuring the cavity depth to ensure optimal insulation performance.
• Ventilation and Structural Assessment: A thorough evaluation of your home’s ventilation and any structural concerns to ensure a smooth installation process.
• Detailed Report: After the survey, you’ll receive a written report outlining our findings and the recommended course of action, including a clear, transparent quotation.

The Installation Process: Quick, Clean, And Efficient

Our installation process is designed to be hassle-free and minimally disruptive:

1. External Drilling (or Internal for New Builds): For most homes, small holes are drilled externally to allow the injection of the EPS beads. In new builds, holes are typically drilled inside before plastering or plasterboard installation.
2. Ventilation & pre install modifications: Airbricks and other existing ventilation will be sleeved with a brush system if required, along with obsolete Airbricks fully sealed. A core vent will also be fitted, along with cavity closer brushes installed between neighbouring properties, if required.
3. Injection of EPS Beads: Using a low-air-pressure system, the EPS beads are evenly distributed throughout the cavity, ensuring maximum coverage without any gaps or cold spots.
4. Bonding Agent: A lightweight bonding agent ensures that the beads stay in place, preventing sagging over time.
5. Post-Installation: After installation, we’ll carefully seal the drilled holes, with mortar. Please note we cannot colour match mortar and the drill holes may remain visible depending on the substrate, but we will always aim for a neat finish.
